All artwork submitted must express the following theme:


"Celebrating Diversity in the Murchison"

The Murchison and its people are as different as you and I - we are a mix of our pioneering and entrepreneurial spirit. We came from all over the the country, and the world, to seek a better life here in the Murchison. The country here is as diverse as its people - red and oranges, greens and blues, white and black - you can find all the colours of the rainbow here in Cue. 

The competition is open to all artists. All work must be original and completed within the 12 months prior to 30th April 2021 (closing date).

You can use any media or art style you like, you are free to express yourself however you want. However, the Shire of Cue reserves the right to reject any artwork deemed offensive.

Entries need to be registered by 30th April 2021. To enter, email your entry information (requirements below) to info@qfest.com.au, along with a photo of your completed work. Photos of work must be high resolution (max file size: 5MB). Physical entries to be delivered to Cue Community Resource Centre, 72 Austin St, CUE by 30th April 2021.

Entry Information Required:

- A high resolution image of your artwork (max file size: 5MB)

- Your full name 

- Your phone number 

- The name of the piece you are submitting for the competition

- The media you have used to complete your entry (e.g. painting, drawing, collage, sculpture)

- Your availability the weekend of the festival (4th - 7th June 2021)

- Whether you would like to apply for exhibition space during QFest 2021

Registration for the competition will be taken as permission to publish images of your work by the event organisers for promotional activities. Any work reproduced in this way will be given proper credit at all times. 

The judges are a mix of local residents and professionals. Their decision will be final.

The winning piece will be made available for acquisition by the Shire of Cue and if purchased will be displayed in town for a minimum of 12 months with an acknowledgement of the artist.

Artists must be willing to join us in Cue on the weekend of QFest.

Artists who submit an entry will be eligible to apply for free exhibition space (indoor or outdoor - you choose) for other artwork for QFest.
